The stone guard fell of the new Navara on the July trip to the Flinders & Simpson. When I took the truck in for the 10,000 km service I asked about the stone guard. Dealer said that it was not a warranty issue. I called Nissan on Monday & they said the same thing. They went into a great spiel about road conditions & such. I comment was that I had purchased the truck for these conditions and spoke to the dealer about the type of conditions I expected to encounter. If they had sold me a truck that was not fit for the purpose then I may have to speak to consumer affairs.
Got a call just now from the local dealer. Nissan will replace at their cost. So there is a God and Nissan may be wakening up to the fact that they do have to supply service.

Good to hear.
I usually go through the car and apply a dab of silicon sealant to most of the bolts like sump guard bolts, battery tie downs etc to help lock them. Easy enough to pull it off if you want to.

But then I have a mitsubishi, not a mighty nissan, so maybe I need to :o)

Kev,
Still looking. I like the unit as everything you could want is there, but I still have to come up with the extra $. May take to mid next year as we have just put deposit down on another house.

I have set the date for stopping work in late 20010 and the new house is in Nth NSW (Uralla) so we will be out of the rat race and back to home ground where we still have friends from 25 years ago.
I have not gotten to counting the day yet, but starting to clear out the shed & under the house. Boy do you gather some junk over the years.
